Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is submitted to the provider that supplies those results. Fitchburg Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains the information included in that message and is used to answer it.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create standard logs such as IP address, browser type, page views, and timestamps. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and understand page traffic. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, diagnose problems, measure aggregate traffic, and improve content. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not create individual user profiles.
External Websites
Links lead to Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts, library, archive, and third-party search resources. Their terms and privacy practices govern information submitted on their services, including sponsored result tools.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the reference may process ordinary logs. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise only as needed to operate the service.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no visitor accounts, the reference has no account password or user profile to expose.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and does not target children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about personal data a service retains. Because this reference keeps very little, an inquiry normally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c. 66, ยง 10, governs access to government-held public records, not this private reference. A record held by Fitchburg, Worcester County, or Massachusetts must be corrected or removed through its custodian; protected-address questions may also involve G.L. c. 9A and 950 CMR 130.00.
Policy Revisions
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
